PerUML is the joining of two worlds.

We are scientists and engineers, and therefore seek to study and design new systems, to test their effectiveness in different environments, and to publish the results for the benefit of the broader community.  As such we have sought to publish in technical journals, as can be seen in the Proceedings of the American Solar Energy Society article below.

We are also people who are seeking to make a difference in the lives of some of the poorest people in the world.  As such, it is important that we get the ideas with which we are experimenting out to the broadest range of people possible.  See the article in the Boston Globe below for an example of this sort of publication.
